Alternative Giving II

December 13, 2011

I’ve yet to do this, but I think it’s one of the best ideas for a gift because it can keep on giving. Give a Kiva card. For $25, you give someone the opportunity to loan money to a project they pick out. The $25 is a micro-loan and 98.5% of them are paid back which means your someone can reinvest in another project. See, it’s the gift that keeps on giving: to your someone and to those receiving the micro-loan.

I LOVE Kiva! I try to do a loan a month. A great cause, and I love the updates they send. Great idea!
